leucoderma / white spots

Leucoderma, white spots, vitiligo

Why do I suffer only? why me ? I want to suicide ? there is nothing in life if I have these white spots on my face, hands, lips, legs or any body parts......these are the normal or very common reactions from the sufferers.

???????
These question marks are on sufferer himself.
The scientific reason behind this disorder is well known to all that because of melanin pigment deficiency white spot (hypopigmentation) occurs. melanocyte cells which produces melanin pigment stops their work of producing melanin.

But why does it happens ?
if I am not wrong no one can specify the exact cause.

now think logically.......

may it be my lifestyle error,
may it be my diet mistake,
may it be my stressful life,
may it be my genetical history,
may it be my bad luck only......

??????

These questions won't relieve you from the problem you are suffering,  though you found the exact answer.

you have to think only, how to get rid of this problem.
If you will think you will try to find out the way.

now you will visit a doctor who claims of treating. Is it enough ?

If a farmer gets best quality of seeds ands hopes best quality & quantity of crops without cultivation, is it possible ?
with best seeds he needs best cultivation, enough water, fertilisers and with all these weather's blessings too. then only he can expect the best crop.

Now a days doctor friends are very busy. They consult hundreds of patients in a day. how many of patients are satisfied is an another question.

You are sufferer and its your need so clear your all doubts before you starts treatment.

My views ........

As I believe it is external manifestation of the disease within. The disease within or the root cause (miasm : psora , syphilis, sycosis etc.) has to be treated to get read of vitiligo.

Vitiligo or leucoderma (white spots or white patches) :

It is a skin condition in which melanin pigment deficiency occurs. Or it’s a loss of melanin pigment (skin colour).  The affected part of the skin becomes milky white. In most of the cases hairs on the affected skin becomes white.

Melanin pigment is produced by melanocyte cells. Because of some internal disorder these cells stops production of melanin & white patches occures.

1 to 2 % of total population suffers from this disorder.

The exact cause why these cells stop producing melanin is yet not known. But the contributing factors may be like any autoimmune disease like thyroid disease, anemia, alopecia areata, scleroderma & other autoimmune diseases.

It may be genetical also. In around 30%  of cases family history is seen.

During my practice lot of patients or their family members were having history of asthma, allergy, bronchitis or tonsillectomy.

So in genetical history I will deffinately ask about either history of vitiligo or asthma, allergy or any respiratory disorders or any surgeries in past.

Its very clear that it is not contagious.

It can be mainly catagorised in two types:

Segmental Vitiligo: It involves mostly one side of the body(unilateral). Around 10-15 % of cases are seen of this type. Mostly the patches in this type does not axpand (stable). In very few cases is associated with autoimmune diseases.

Non segmental Vitiligo: It is seen in most of the cases & affects both sides of the body. The patches expands in maximum number of cases day by day.

It can be classified in :

Generalized Vitiligo : affects  any part of the body randomly & this is most common type of  vitiligo.

Focal : this is most common in children & single or few more spots are scattered in same area.

Mucosal : when mucous membrane gets affected called mucosal vitiligo.

Universal : whole body gets affected in this type, in most of the cases starts with generalized vitiligo.

Acrofacial : hands, feet, fingers, head are affected.
